Gaspésie is rightly designated as a recognized and sougt-after destination in Québec's tourism history.  The Gaspé Peninsula covers 30 340 km2, and its population numbers approximately 150,000 inhabitants. This area roughly corresponds to that Belgium.  The Peninsula is bordered to the North by the St.Lawrence estuary, to the South by the Chaleur Bay and to the East by the Gulf of St.Lawrence.

In its recent selection of 25 picturesque routes of North America, the reputed road atlas Michelin recognizes the Gaspésie route as a marvel. Thus, this picturesque route, the only one chosen in Quebec, is really worth the trip since it was given the maximum number of stars, that is three stars.  Whether you prefer regional wares and home-cooked meals, or gourmet meals served in style, fresh Gaspesian products are showcased everywhere.
